Safe Waste Incinerator Company Limited was established in Tanzania in 2010 in response to the escalating environmental impact of poor handling and management of all waste including that generated by the Health Care, Agro-industry, Mining and Exploration Industries as well as General Industry. The objective of the firm is to partner the Industry with managed, approved and technically advanced Integrated Waste Management Solutions. To that end we are committed to the improvement of not just the systems used but to the education of those who handle waste in any of its forms.
Waste is defined as liquid, solid, contained gas, or sludge wastes with contain properties that may be dangerous or potentially harmful to human health or the environment. These include:
• Materials spilled, lost or having undergone other change • Process Residues • Substances that no longer perform satisfactorily • Unusable parts, equipment or materials • Any material that is disposed of, involving burning and incineration, accumulation, storage or treatment, prior to disposal.
The underlying principal in the management of health care waste is that only those who generate the waste should handle it. Thus once the waste has left their hands, it must be placed in a container or liner that prevents exposure to others, both on and offsite. To this end we educate the current health care providers in the correct methods of segregation, containerization and storage prior to our removal and transport of waste to the incinerator site. Suitable receptacles are provided. Integrated Waste management is vital in the Health Care Industry as poor management exposes health care workers, waste handlers, and the community to infections, toxins and injury. Integrated Waste Management System results in:
These sectors are significant generators of waste in both production and processing. As well as the social (human) impact on surrounding communities these waste products may have a profound impact on the environment and their managed disposal is vital.
All industries and businesses in general, generate as a consequence of daily operations material that for reasons of security or waste management need to be disposed of in a controlled manner. This includes products that maybe considered hazardous in terms of legislation and world practices, i.e. cleaning products, chemicals, pesticides ETC. Or Items which have no inherent waste management requirements but for reasons of security require managed disposal policies. Safe Waste is able to offer practical and verifiable solutions to both requirements.
